Paez was depicted in April with Ligue 1 outfit. Reports from L’Equipe indicate that the club evaluated it before a potential step.

At the beginning of this month, he spent the Ecuador national team and played for 14 minutes in a goalless draw to Peru. His future Chelsea teammate Moises Caicedo completed 90 minutes in the ties.

Maresca has now confirmed that Paez is at the Chelsea squad at the Club World Cup.

He said, “Kendry [Páez] is with us. He asked to spend and train time with us.
