At the end of 2020, the shutters came down to full freedom of movement within the EU for British passers, a self -imposed change that only a few young Londoners wanted.
For anyone who regularly visits Europe or is planning a longer stay, it became a tedious but necessary task to work the complications of the 90 days in every rolling time of 180 days.
How refreshing to know that some countries not only want us – and other nationalities – but actively encourage us to move with good -looking incentives.
Could you try to take a step?
Albinen, Switzerland
Scenic Switzerland is famous for their excellent quality of life and personal and economic security, but if they thought it was only multimillionaire and tax increases that are welcomed there, think about it again. Albinen, a mountain village in the Rhone Valley in the southwest of the country, two hours from Geneva Airport, tries to restore its falling population, and gives adults up to CHF 20,000 (£ 18.180) to move there, plus CHF 10,000 (£ 9.090) for every accompanying child.
The village filled with flowers is located in the Pfyn-Finges nature park, surrounded by vineyards and one of the largest continuous pine forests in the Alps. Nearby are the sights of the excellent thermal baths in Leukerbad – 15 minutes away by car or for fearless travelers who are accessible from an antiquity via Ferrata (climbing route) and climb 100 meters over a number of ladders. Skiing takes place in highly acclaimed resorts within an hour, including Crans Montana and Nendaz, the latter with a verb.
Too good to be true? Applicants must be less than 45 years old, pay at least 200,000 CHF (181,770 GBP) for a property, stay for at least 10 years and become Swiss citizens. German knowledge is likely to be useful and a head for heights: Albinen is on a pretty steep slope.

New Zealand
It is a mighty long process, 11,600 miles and an almost 24-hour flight, but the advantages of life in New Zealand count excellent scenic beauty, a friendly reception and a robust lifestyle outdoors. For qualified teachers, New Zealand offers even more in the form of a grant that covers the relocation costs of up to NZD $ 10,000 (4,430 GBP).
Newly relocated teachers who work in a state school or a licensed early learning center can claim within the first six months after their arrival. You must have a full-time employment agreement, a New Zealand work or residence visa and are registered with the responsible teaching authorities.

Italy
What is not to love about the Dolce Vita, Italy’s “sweet life”, in which family, friends, long lunches and wicked food are part of the attraction. It may be difficult to imagine whether they recently defied the packaged streets of Florence or Rome or the tourism tax in Venice. However, depopulation is a real problem in parts of the country, which is why the local authorities spray the money to promote newcomers.
The options include moving in one of nine villages in Calabria, the “toes” of the Italian boot, where those under 40 found a company that can receive € 28,000 (23,900 GBP), or to buy a property for renovating in Sardinian villages with a population and in return for 30,000 € (£ 25.600) full -time citizens. Trentino in northern Italy will pay up to € 100,000 (€ 85,330 GBP) to those who are committed to a long -term residence, and even small mountain villages in Tuscany offer grants of up to € 30,000 to those who bought a house and bought it.
These are going beyond the turnover of € 1 € Sicily House sales and made helpful by Amanda Holden and Alan Carr when they renovated a renovation in the TV series Amanda & Alan’s Italian job. As with all of these grants, strict criteria apply.
Alaska, USA
Do you warm in the cold of winter? Then Alaska could be the one for her. Live there for a year and you can share the state dividend of the constant fund, a division of annual oil revenue. The payment of the last year was $ 1,702 (1,250 GBP) per adult.
Japan
Japan’s alarming falling birth rate has led to their regional revitalization program with a potential bonus of 4,800,000 y.800,000 (75,065 GBP) for successful applicants. However, do not start to dream of life in Tokyo: to qualify, you have to look at certain rural locations.
Ireland
Stay near Ireland in our Living Island program to maintain the municipalities on 30 offshore islands. Buy an island property and you could have € 84,000 (£ 71,680) for the renovation costs. As with many systems mentioned above, non-EU-passporters also have to sort out the residence.
