A defender came from the Cymru Prime Minister to Newport County.
The 23 -year -old Lee Jenkins signed two for the league club and strives to achieve an immediate influence both on and outside the field.
The former Haverfordwest County player said: “I want to give everything for this club.

“I’m really looking forward to the upcoming challenge.
“I can’t wait for the season to start now.”
He said that he had “not thought about it twice” when he heard that this county looked him.
“It was great to know that clubs watched me in the English pyramid and came in when County came in, it was an easy decision,” he said.
Jenkins has spent several seasons to develop in the top level of Welsh football and believes that experience has prepared him for the step into the second division.
He said, “I regularly played in the Cymru Prime Minister for a few seasons and it helped me to grow massively.

“To come to Newport means that I can stay in Wales, but test myself in a new environment.
“It is a great honor to join this club.”
Jenkins describes his style of play and kept him uncomplicated.
He said, “I am a defender of the old school-I love to head to head and tackle.
“I bring energy into the game and I enjoy getting my body on the line for the team.”
His decision to join Newport was influenced by positive discussions with manager David Hughes, who sketched a clear vision for the club and Jenkins’ role in it.
He said: “I played a lot of football in Wales and I felt that the right time was now for a new challenge.

“After talking to the gaffer, it was clear that he had great ambitions for the club.
“He talked really well about what he wanted to build here and I want to be part of it.”
With a view to the new season, Jenkins hopes to make a contribution at both ends of the field.
He said, “I have scored a few goals over the years and I would like to add it here.
“Above all, I would like to help the team get on the table as high as possible and make fans proud of the fans.”
Jenkins is particularly looking forward to experiencing the atmosphere at Rodney Parade.
He said, “I saw how the support County and how loud it can be at Rodney Parade.
“I really noticed that and I hummed myself to play in front of these fans.”
